Read about the new course service in the news item "Course Service for Dummies!"

Important: Before checking out, check whether your Medica membership and Acco share have been successfully linked! If you pay without a proper link, the discounts will not be applied. You cannot get a refund if you notice this error after paying. The Acco share provides a discount on Acco books, and the Medica membership provides a discount on Medica's own printed materials. Your Acco share is valid indefinitely, while your Medica membership is valid for one academic year.

Note: You can only purchase one of each item at the member price.

Specific information about the course service

Here you will find specific information provided by the course service.

Why do I sometimes have to wait a while for a book?

Some books take a while to arrive, and we also find that a shame. We do our utmost to get your books to us as quickly as possible and will let you know immediately when a book is available.

Delays are possible because a supplier can only deliver a while later. In the worst case, this could mean, for example, that an English-language textbook is not in stock at Acco and has to be imported from overseas. This can take up to several weeks.

Sometimes it also depends on our estimation and operations, and we are open about this. We supply books to order or make an estimate based on last year's sales. However, last year's sales figures are not always a good indicator, meaning we sometimes have to reprint a large number. Moreover, our number of volunteers is limited. After all, this is a voluntary commitment for us.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are usually not possible. Please keep this in mind! Once you order and pay for a book through the webshop, we will order it specifically for you from one of our suppliers or have it printed for you. It is therefore specifically designed for you and cannot be returned.

Specific information for 2025-2026

[UPDATE] Information about books that have not yet arrived:

  • Vascular Surgery is expected to be delivered to Acco on November 27th and will then be sent to the course department.
  • Health Law is still missing a few items. 23 items will be delivered on Monday, November 24th, and the others are expected in the week of December 1st.
  • Block pointer: Cardiac Surgery is expected to be finished at the printer on November 24th. We will then try to get it to the course department as quickly as possible.
  • Regarding all books: According to our information, all books have been ordered and are on their way. You will receive an email once we have received the book from the course department, and you can then consult this webpage for information on how to pick it up.

Not yet available (the instructors are still finalizing this):

  • Course: Pharmacology 5

  • BMW BA2 — Textbook: Neuroscience: Exploring the Brain

A new edition (5) will be available from November 2025. While supplies last, we can still offer the current edition (4). We expect this to be considerably more expensive, so we recommend purchasing the current edition.

  • General — Office Supplies

Due to very limited interest in office supplies, we are no longer offering them. Learning materials (flashcards, posters, etc.) and Medica Merchandise remain available: you can find these under various filters under 'Options'.

Suppliers

The course service collaborates with Acco, Copy De Raaf, and Medical Werff, among others, to provide the right course materials.
