Welcome to Medica’s book shop or also know als Cursusdienst or “CuDi”. Here you can buy (bio)medical books, instruments and our Medica merchandise! To order your books, go to our website. If this is your first time buying books in CuDi, make sure to check this document: Bookshop Manual

When will the shop open?
Starting September (first semester) or February (second semester) you can order your books. The exact date will be posted on our Facebook page or shown on the website. The shop itself will be open from the first week of the semester. During the first weeks we sell books per year, you need to reserve a time slot if you want to pick up your books. If you take subjects from different years, you can come when we sell books of the year for which you ordered the most books.

How can I buy medical material like lab and doctor coats, dissections kits etc?
During the first week of the semester you can buy the coats in our shop. After that you can buy coats and everything else on the webshop.
How can I pay my books?
The book shop works cashless. You can pay using:
- Maestro
- VISA
- Mastercard
Can I get a discount on the books?
Yes, if you buy a Medica Membership, you get discount in our Bookshop and our Medica Events. This way you can buy your books at the lowest prices possible.
If you have an Acco Membership you can get also get a discount on a few items from Acco we sell. The Acco books you don’t get discount on, are already cheaper then the Acco Membership price in their store.
I don’t see my subjects on the website and therefore I can’t order books.
Make sure that all your subjects are checked for this academic year, even the second semester ones. Once they are all selected you should be able to see all the books related with these classes. You can’t check any boxes in the “subjects” area? Make sure that you enrolled for the right program on the right campus.
For one of the books I get the “non-reservable” notification, what do I do?
We probably do not have those books in stock yet. The only thing you can do is wait for a couple of weeks.
For some books, the more expensive ones, there is a buy-just-once policy to prevent you from accidently buying the same book twice. If you do want to order this book again or you didn’t collect your book before it expired, you can send us an e-mail and we will fix this problem for you.
I get an error message if I try to order the membership card, what now?
Check your general information. This happens mostly when you fill in your birth date in a wrong format.
Should I get to the bookshop early to be sure to get my books?
You can only pick up your books if they are assigned to you, that means that we have your books delivered at our shop.
The shop does not open earlier than published on our website.
My book is not assigned yet, how is that possible?
The books are automatically assigned in a chronological manner. So the sooner you order, the sooner you’ll get your books! Sometimes we have to wait until our supplier has the books back in stock. If your books aren’t assigned, we can’t give them to you because either we don’t have them yet or other students have reserved them before you.
My order is going to expire soon, what do I do?
Books expire two weeks after they are reserved for you. You will get an e-mail when your books are assigned to you and the expiration date will be in the e-mail as well. Make sure to come and pick up your order in time and don’t wait for everything to arrive at once. If the shop isn’t open on the expiration date, we will keep your book reserved until the first opening date after that.
